![]() ![]() Where is Menahga? We are located in north central Minnesota along Hwy 71 between Park Rapids and Wadena.
Do I have to buy the whole pig? No you do not. Pork is available by the package or by the quarter, half, or whole. What do the pigs eat? Our pigs get grasses year-round, with pasture in the summer and stored hay and baleage in the winter. They also eat a free-choice grain and mineral mixture. Can I get all pork chops? Yes you can! Although hog is not all pork chops, we have porkchops available for those who only want porkchops. A hog is also roasts, hams, bacons, and trim which is made into ground pork or sausage. Here is a basic breakdown of a hog: 10-12# roast, 16# sausage, 14# lard (rendered or not), 4# spareribs, 40# ham (2 hams, or 4 half hams), 36# pork chops, 28# bacon. These are only approximate, as each hog is different. |
