About our farm
Our family farm is located in rural Menahga, a small community in north central Minnesota. We raise certified organic hogs from farrow-to-finish on 80 acres. Part of our farm was homesteaded by the Haverinen family in 1892. The land has never been chemically farmed.

About our hogs
Our hogs graze in alfalfa pastures during the summer and live in hoop shelters and 3-sided sheds in winter. With access to outdoors, they enjoy fresh air and sunshine year-round. They are allowed to exhibit natural behaviors, such as rooting in dirt and straw, living in natural housing for raising their piglets, and interacting with other pigs. Our animals are completely antibiotic free, and they eat feed free of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. No hormones are added to their diet to promote growth. Our farm is inspected yearly to certify that we are maintaining strict USDA organic standards. The breeds we raise on our farm include Berkshire and Chester White. This combination creates a great-tasting, nicely marbled pork that we’re sure you will enjoy.
