Fidelity Select Energy Services 1996:

This fund did much better for most of 1996 than did FSELX. Trends tend to persist but performance does not. Chasing outstanding performance tends to have you in the fund of the past. Many who were in FSELX instead of this fund in early 1996 are likely watching FSELX over this fund in 2000 because of FSELX outstanding performance in 1999. Fools never learn. They will likely again be wrong.
