1.  Always use plastic vessels when tanning, never use metal.

2.  Never use water over 80 degrees in temperature.

3.  Room temperatures must remain constant, around 70 degrees.

4.  Never crowd your furs.

5.  Monitor pH carefully.

6.  All salt must be pickling salt, (non-iodized).

7.  Over-tanning is much better than under-tanning.

8.  Handle all chemicals with gloves and wear safety glasses.

9.  All solutions should be stirred at least twice a day.

10. No tan can penetrate fat.

11. The most important part of tanning is pre-care.

12. All acids should be neutralized before disposal.
